Clear recipient and transaction references

Payment links built for clarity.

GM-Pay helps approved merchants create Lightning payment requests that are simple to share, easy for customers to understand, and straightforward to reconcile.

GM-Pay is independent and is not affiliated with Cash App or Block, Inc. References to external payment apps only describe compatible ways to open a Lightning invoice.

Purpose-built workflow

From payment request to verified record.

The public flow keeps the merchant identity, payment amount, status, and reference visible without asking the payer for sensitive account information.

Shareable payment links

Create permanent merchant pages and individual fixed or open-amount links for each payment request.

QR-first checkout

Payers can scan a time-limited Lightning invoice on another device or open it in a compatible payment app.

Clear payment records

Each request carries a recipient, amount, live status, and reference that merchants can reconcile.

How it works

Three clear steps for every payment.

  1. 01

    Merchant shares a link

The customer opens a permanent merchant page or a payment-specific link.

  2. 02

    Customer reviews the request

The page identifies the recipient and amount before creating a time-limited invoice.

  3. 03

    GM-Pay verifies the result

The status changes only after the connected payment processor confirms the invoice state.

Clear boundaries by design.

Public checkout is separated from authenticated merchant and administrator tools. Payer pages are limited to the information needed to review and complete a request.

  • Dedicated public, merchant, administrator, and API hostnames
  • Merchant workspaces isolated from other merchant accounts
  • Payment status recorded only after processor confirmation
  • Public payment pages never request account credentials
Public pages never ask for a password, card number, bank login, seed phrase, or private key. Merchant credentials are entered only on the dedicated merchant dashboard hostname.

Common questions

Know what to expect.

Is GM-Pay live with real customer funds?+

No. The current deployment is a development test environment. Do not send real funds until GM-Pay announces completion of its launch checks.

What information does a payer provide?+

A payer reviews the merchant and amount, then uses a compatible payment app. GM-Pay's public pages do not request login, card, bank, seed-phrase, or private-key information.

Is GM-Pay part of Cash App or Block, Inc.?+

No. GM-Pay is an independent platform. A Cash App reference only identifies one external application that may support opening the Lightning invoice.

How is payment completion determined?+

GM-Pay waits for the connected payment processor to report the invoice status, then displays the resulting status and transaction reference.
